Existing research has established that the vast majority of traffic crash(es) victims and their families experience a decrease of their quality of life and living standard, sometimes to a considerable degree and for a long time. However, despite these facts and the long-lasting effort of the associative world to alert public authorities, much remains to be done in order to lessen the possible negative impact of traffic crashes on the lives of those directly involved and of their relatives.
For the these reasons, Bulgarian Association Of Victims In Car Accidents (BAZK) is collaborating with the European Federation of Road Traffic Victims (FEVR) and the Belgian Road Safety Institute (BRSI) on a wide international survey.
The purpose of the survey is to finely explore the various consequences of injuries caused by traffic crashes and to investigate potential factors that may help to find a better standard of living. The results obtained from this survey should help formulating recommendations and, hopefully, contribute to positive changes in public policy.
If you’ve ever been injured in a road traffic accident, we will be more than grateful if you could provide us with information about your experience by completing this survey : “My life after the crash”. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
We are aware that answering these questions may be a difficult experience, and requires disclosing personal aspects of your life after the accident. Be assured that all answers you provide will remain completely anonymous and won’t be used for any other purpose than research. Should you encounter any difficulty in completing it – for medical or other reasons – feel free to ask someone (relatives, friends, family members…) to help and fill it out in your name.
We address you our warmest thanks for taking the time to complete this survey and for sharing your input !
